Question:
Anyone out there suffer from spring allergies? Have you always had them or did
you develop them at some point? What kind of symptoms do you suffer? Have they
gotten worse or better this spring? How do you treat them? I'm a health reporter doing a story on spring allergies for Fox News Online,
www.foxnews.com...Would like to hear your stories, comments, suggestions...
Answer:
You are asking too broad a question, particularly with no background from
which to start. Start by reading the section on allergies in any
encyclopedia in your library or you will not be able to construct a
meaningfull and informative piece of public information. After a few
minutes of reading come back here to ask questions.
I also recommend doing a little background research on the website.
Go to a search engine, search on allergies or just look up past
discussion on alt.med.allergy and Jones could ask much more specific
questions. I think the reporter asked a good question. Not too broad at all. The
reporter is just trying to ask about seasonal allergies (in reference to
spring). I don't see how you could get any more specific? Claritan
homepage has some good reading on the definition of spring allergy. Maybe
you could do some reading. The next question, "have you always had them?"
I didn't develop allergies until the age of 20. I have year round allergies
but my symptoms tend to get worse during the spring. I have terrible chest
congestion and have to rely on my nebulizer more often. So for me, symptoms
can differ according to the season.
