natural allergy help?

Question:
I have been suffering from allergies for the last year. I cannot take it any longer. I have been on many pills and nothing truely works. I do not know what I am allergic to but it has to do with a tree or plant near my house. My house also gets a lot of mold. I am all for natural health care and would like to know more. I need help with my coughing more than anything and my constant runny nose.

Answer:
Well, you should give some conventional medicine a try. You should be checked, if you haven't been already, to find out if your cough and runny nose don't have another cause. If you could have the allergy sensitivity tests, called patch test or skin test, you would know where to start. Then you could learn about growing seasons, time of greatest pollen, and better practice avoidance. Try cleaning up the mold with a mix of bleach and water. Some natural ways to manage? Learn how to rinse your sinuses. If your house has carpets, frequent vacuuming. Change your bedding frequently. Change your pet's bedding frequently. Drink lots of water. Cultivate a taste for spicy food. I personally find citrus juice helps, but I have read in more than one place that citrus can worsen allergies. I been to the doctor at least 20 times in the last year with no help.
